Software Engineer

About Cindy Tong

I have always been interested in creating things. When I was young, I was told I would receive one wish for one thousand paper cranes. I made three thousand. In my work, I seek opportunities to harness this creativity in order to build scalable solutions to our everyday problems. My former background as a Product Manager, UX designer, and growth lead at enterprises and startups enabled me to find my true passion: software development.

Hello, I’m Cindy

I have always been interested in creating things. When I was young, I was told that I would receive one wish for one thousand paper origami cranes. I made three thousand cranes.

I’m a multi-disciplined product engineer that’s worked across product, design, and recruiting at Series A startups to Fortune 500 companies.

I’m passionate about building inclusive solutions that scale, building teams in a sustainable way, cultivating communities, and good documentation.

Currently, I am an infrastructure engineer at The New York Times where I help ensure that our content can be delivered seamlessly to millions of readers 24/7.
